Susan Buroker’s Phoenix Sculpture Inspires Huntington's Community

"In the darkest moments, remember to always hope for a better tomorrow" - Anonymous

Susan Buroker, a renowned artist and owner at the bblg gallery, embarked on a heartfelt collaboration with The Huntington Opioid & Addiction Task Force on her latest sculpture, "Hope and Healing." This monumental piece depicts a Phoenix and symbolizes transformation and rebirth. This sculpture of hope and healing is 10 feet tall, 8 feet wide, and 3 feet deep.

Crafted from stainless steel, the sculpture is inscribed with the community’s messages of hope and healing. The sculpture was installed at Heckscher Park in Huntington, and the area surrounding the sculpture was newly landscaped to create a peaceful communal space. This installation aims to foster connections, help our community heal, awaken hope, and offer solace to individuals grappling with addiction and mental health challenges.
